Product Description

Pope John Paul II referred to the Holy Eucharist as "the greatest treasure of the Church," and yet even many devoted Catholics have a very limited understanding of this powerful sacrament. This book will change all that. The reader will come away with a completely new awareness that the Eucharist is not just about receiving Communion; it's about transforming your daily life.

Deeply based on the Scriptures, the writings of the Saints and the teachings of our two most recent Popes, this profound and remarkably readable book will introduce you to some of the "hidden" truths of the Eucharist - truths that have always been embraced by theologians, saints and mystics, but have rarely been passed on to the average person in a meaningful way. In The Seven Secrets of the Eucharist, these truths are finally made accessible to all, as author Vinny Flynn shows how each reception of Holy Communion can be a life-changing experience.

No matter how much or how little you already know about the Eucharist, the "secrets" revealed here will bring you to a new, personal "Emmaus" experience, again and again. Perfect for personal devotion, catechesis, study groups, book clubs, and theological studies, The Seven Secrets of the Eucharist will rekindle the "Eucharistic amazement" called for by Pope John Paul II.

Available as a paperback book (Item# 1001090) and as a DVD (Item# 4003010). The DVD is 60 minutes long.

This is a good reading source to bring to church during holy hour or expostion of Blessed Sacrament days. You can read a chapter or a few paragraphs and then sit back and ponder what you've read. Can't help but make understanding and receiving Communion a more intense experience and greatly enhances the meaning and purpose of the Holy Eucharist.

This book, puts all the books on Communion not to shame but in our language of today. Mass, Communion, The Divine Mercy Prayer and the book of St. Thomas Aquinas, in such a small concise book. It gave me an Ah Ha moment. It all jelled, I had new ears and such a Reverence for Mass and communion, well I just cried, because I had heard it before but did not KNOW IT. Big difference to your salvation. Spread the word, GOD IS BIGGER THAN WE CAN IMAGINE AND SO LOVING, THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WORD. Just go buy it, you will never ever be the same!

If there is one book that is a must to read aside from the bible, this is the book. So simple and direct to the point about the truths of the Eucharist. This is indeed an eye, mind and heart opener for me. After reading this book, I honestly say I will never take for granted the real meaning of the Eucharist.

I have recently begun to explore the Eucharist and my own attitudes toward it. Reading this book has opened my mind and heart to all that the Eucharist has to offer and all that I can bring to the table. I read this book at home and in church before the Eucharist. When I finish it, I plan to read it again and again. There is so much there. The author references the Bible and the Catechism so I know the teachings are grounded in the Catholic faith.

This book left me awestruck with a deeper appreciation and devotion to the Eucharist. It gives new insights to the profound mystery of the Eucharist in simple, moving language. I think this book should be required reading for all seminarians as I never heard much of what I learned from it from any priest.
