Adrienne von Speyr led a very diverse and fascinating life. Adrienne von Speyr was a medical doctor, wife, writer and Catholic mystic. Originally raised as a Protestant, Adrienne von Speyr converted to Catholicism on the Feast of All Saints Day. Shortly after her conversion, Adrienne von Speyr began to have mystical experiences, while in a state of prayer, about the Trinity and the Saints. While in this meditative state she dictated 69 books to another famous Catholic theologian, Hans Urs von Balthasar.
