St. Monica
Saint Monica is the patron of housewives, alcoholism, mothers, and victims of adultery. She was raised Christian and given in marriage to an adulterous, ill-tempered pagan. Saint Monica is the mother of Saint Augustine of Hippo and constantly prayed for both her son and her husband's conversion. Both converted and she is a reformed alcoholic. St. Monica's feast day is August 27th.
