St. Robert Bellarmine
Saint Robert Bellarmine is the patron of canon lawyers, catechists, catechumens, and the archdiocese of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a Jesuit priest and celebrated theologian. St. Robert Bellarmine wrote numerous works to defend the faith against Protestant attack, including Disputationes de Controversiis Christianae Fidei adversus hujus temporis hereticos. He is also well-known for being the theological adviser to Pope Paul V, head of the Vatican library, and Doctor of the Church. St. Robert Bellarmine's feast day is September 17th.
