Valentine’s Day, celebrated on February 14th, actually commemorates the martyrdom of three different St. Valentines. It was not until the Middle Ages, that writers like Chaucer, penned the date as a romantic holiday. Today we continue on with the traditions of sending valentines in the spirit of love and general good will.
