The principal bridge of Rome, it was dedicated by the Emperor Hadrian as a link between his mausoleum and the city of Rome in 134 A.D. Since that time, it has played an important role as the major gateway to the Vatican, a significant point along the routes of pilgrims and processions. The bridge is renowned today primarily because of the work of famed painter, sculptor and architect Bernini, who adorned the bridge from 1667-72 with larger-than-life angels carrying the instruments of Christ's Passion. Now you can enjoy the beauty of these masterpiece angels in your own home, thanks to the artistry of the popular Joseph's Studio. Pros: Beautiful; Size; Color; price;
Cons: Should have been 14; Not Enough Choice's;
Best Uses: Displayed in Curio;
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
There are six Angels in this set. I don't think they sell it as a set but it is. When I saw my first Angel I thought it was a mistake and I had to check again to make sure I didn't pick the wrong thing. At [$] the price is ridiculus for something as well made as they are. They are simply beautiufl. The faces are uncanny. I'm truly taken by these Angels and at this price get them while they last I'm sure they will not.
