The 37 lessons contained in Baltimore Catechism No. 2 present the fundamentals of the Catholic Faith in a manner suitable for sixth through ninth graders and those preparing for Confirmation. This edition begins with a section of classic Catholic prayers, including the Lord's Prayer, Hail Mary, Act of Contrition, and more. Each of the 37 lessons starts with the famous format of phoneticized words and meanings, a mini dictionary to help with learning the vocabulary. Since its 1885 debut, the Catechism commissioned by the Third Council of Bishops in Baltimore has instructed generations of Catholic faithful.
