Blessed Peter Favre

Blessed Peter Favre is well-remembered for his opposition to Lutheranism. He was a friend of both Saint Francis Xavier and Saint Ignatius Loyola. Furthermore, Blessed Peter Favre was one of the original Jesuits and was present at the 1540 Diet of Worms and the 1541 Diet of Ratisbon. He was very devoted to angels as shown by his diary of his travels and works which have survived to this day. Blessed Peter Favre's feast day is August 8th.
