Blessed John XXIII

Blessed John XXIII was the 261st pope of the Catholic Church. He is remembered for having called the Second Vatican Council but did not live to see its completion. Blessed Pope John XXIII comes from a family of sharecroppers. Blessed Pope John XXIII reigned as pope for less than half a decade but the council he shepherded has certainly helped in forming the Church of today.
