Which Saint to pray for ALS PATIENT

  17. No Man says:

This is all nonsense and completely against what the Bible teaches. “A Saint a Day keeps the Doctor Away” stuff. You are being deceived by this junk and heresy.

There is One GOD, One Savior, and he never said “Pray to Saints”. Jesus is the name given under Heaven for all prayer and worship.

All this Saint junk is malarkey and foolishness.

  18. Gretchen says:

Hi “No Man,” one of the most solidly developed doctrines of the Church from its beginning is the communion of saints (the real relationship of those in heaven with those of us still on earth). We are all one Church, the Bride of Christ. After the first martyrs shed their blood for Christ, the faithful on earth asked for their intercession, and were answered by miracles, and these were attested by the Church from the beginning. The miracles occurred through the power of Jesus Christ, but granted through the intercession of his faithful servants (in the same way prayer works here on earth). This is the historical belief of the Church, denial of this is modern and born out of the Protestant Reformation which denied many things that were always believed and taught by Christians from the beginning. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 tells us to hold on to the traditions that have been taught, and asking the saints in heaven for their intercession is one of these traditions. In virtue of the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we begin in this life to experience the life we will have in heaven for all eternity with Jesus AND ALL THE SAINTS. We are God’s family united to one another through love. If you have a problem asking the holy men and women who have gone before us for their intercession on our behalf, then you shouldn’t ask anyone here on earth to pray for you either. Same principle. Death does not separate the bonds of love if they are united in Jesus Christ.

  19. Mitch says:

I ask for prayer of St Peregrine for my wife Patricia who is going in for GIST cancer treatment. Please pray that Dr. Robert Maki and his team have God guide them during her treatment. I pray that she be healed and everyone else that is suffering from this terrible disease, through Christ Our Lord. Amen
    I Love You Sweetheart
