Crafted by artisans in the hills outside of Loreto, Italy, this petite and elegant Miraculous Medal necklace is covered in a lovely aqua blue enamel. The Miraculous Medal was designed by the Blessed Virgin herself, and given to Sr. (now Saint) Catherine Laboure’ to spread the devotion, with a tradition of winning extraordinary graces for those who wear it and pray for Mary’s intercession and help. The front of this particular version features Mary with open arms, on the reverse of the medal is the letter "M" for Mary at the feet of the cross of Christ and intertwined with it, surrounded by a crown of twelve stars, and with the Immaculate Heart and the Sacred Heart side by side.
