Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
My son was given this as a baptism gift and I liked it so much that I also gave it as a baptism gift. I love the colourful pictures and also that the characters in the bible were not all Caucasian. It is nice to have Jesus and other bible characters represented in a different skin tone other than blue hair blond eyes.
