This is a beautiful set of Bible Study books that my family is going through one at a time. So far they have been enriching and easy to use. Except for the very small print. With an aging population of boomers I am surprised anything is published in print this small. At the very least, I wish it had been mentioned. Maybe consider a large print addition.

This is an excellent series by Scott Hahn and Curtis Mitch and I would recommend it to anyone interested in understanding the Bible. The foot notes connect Sacred Tradition and the teachings of the Magisterium with the verses and are an essential part of the series. However, it is no longer necessary to purchase the complete set for such a high price. Soon all the books of the series will be bound into one book called the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible New Testament. This will greatly reduce the price and make the series much more affordable.

I gave this set as an Easter gift. It was VERY well received. The person was excited about the prospect of using the books at bible study. He showed them to his bible study classmates (a mostly young adults group) and they were impressed with the set as well. The books are thin(nish) and quasi-pamphlet-like (but not exactly). They are full of information, interpretation, and thoughtful reflection on the different gospels (et al.). Truly for the serious student or anyone interested in deepening their understanding of the bible.

I have recently given my life to Christ so have just now started reading the Bible on my own. I am a novice, but have been a practicing Catholic for most of my 56 years, just waited for the priest at mass to read the Bible and explain it to me. When I read the Bible by myself, I miss a lot of the true meaning. The study Bibles make the Bible so powerful and interesting, that I thorougly enjoy my reading. These books will increase my study of the Bible. I want to get my whole family involved in a Bible Study, and with these books, it can see it happening.

For anyone who has ever been confused by the true meaning of the written word in the Bible, this set is for you. The explanations are truly helpful, and shed a lot of light on the passages. The author of these guides has done extensive research, and his explanations are very easy to understand.
