Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I read this book years ago and found it inspriing then and still do. I have recommended it and given several copies of this as gifts. Real compassion and caring never goes out of style, no matter how vast or limited are your personal gifts. You will try to be a better more understanding person after you read this - and when you fall of the compassion wagon - read it again.
