| Round St. Florian Medal, with inscribed beveled bornders, made of 14K Yellow Gold. This medal is available in four sizes: Small - 15MM; Medium - 18MM; Large - 22MM; and Extra-Large - 25MM St. Florian was commander of the Imperial Roman army in Bavaria, Germany. In the fourth century the emperor Diocletian began a fierce persecution of the Christians, sending Aquilinus to enforce worship of the Roman pagan gods. Florian refused, and was beaten and tortured with clubs, spikes and fire, then finally drowned with a stone around his neck in the river Enns, in what is now Austria.
