I bought this book after Christmas while it was on sale. I really wish we would have gotten it before. My daughter (3) loves this book! I have always struggled to find a way to 'fit' Santa and our religious belief's together and this did a great job! What a wonderful story that delights not only my daughter but myself as well. I never wanted to lose that cherished thought of Santa and the excitment it brought into my life, and now I have a more special way to share it with my daughter.

This is a good book to make sure that children understand the reason for the season. It is so easy for Santa to take over at Christmas and for the true reason to get lost. This book does a great job of tying it all together. My only complaint was that in one page of the book, there is a reference to a child dying. I thought that concept was a bit harsh for my little ones, so we edit that one part while we're reading. Other than that, I think this is a really great, and sweet, book.

I've come in contact with parents and grandparents who struggle with the concept of Santa Clause and the real reason for Christmas. A friend recommemded this book to me. I've shared it with many other parents and they were too very appreciative of how the "Santa story" could be reconciled positively with the birth of Christ.

We wanted to start a new family tradition of a bedtime story on Christmas Eve. Although, we have "T'was the night" I wanted something more spiritual for my children. I had never heard of this story until my Pastor mentioned it and I am so glad he did.
