Pros: Informative; Deserves Multiple Readings; Easy To Read; Well Written;
Describe Yourself: Everyday Reader;
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
Clark's book provides understandable explanations of the historical and theological foundations for the Mass. It ties the sacrificial rites of Jews in the 1st Century to our present day Mass, explaining how the Mass is the re-presentation to God the Father of the sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary, and how the Body and Blood of Christ are distributed back to the faithful, just as the lamb and first-fruits were in the Jewish temple. Basic stuff for those trained in theology, but puts things into perspective for those like me who are relatively unschooled and want to know more. Mass attendance and Holy Communion mean so much more to me now that I have read this book.
