Handmade in Florence, Italy this is a beautiful depiction of the Christ Pantocrator image, with the open book this image is also referred to as "Christ the Teacher". The most common translation of Pantocrator is "Almighty" or "All-powerful."

The plaque is made of wood with the image raised about 1/2" from the surrounding edge. The image is framed by an interior gold leaf edge with a leaf design. The total plaque measures 11.5 x 13 x 1".
