The artwork was beautiful but I was so disappointed in the quality of the card/cardstock that I am sending it back. I would have expected a much nicer card (to match the artwork) for the price. The folds on the cards weren't even. I wish I had read the reviews prior to my purchase but I didn't. I would have rated it a one star except for the beauty of the art.

We looked at many different card designs this year and eventually settled on this set. Bouguereau is one of my favourite religious artists, and L'Innocence my favourite of his works--it's no wonder the cards appealed! Overall, I am very pleased with them and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. My only complaint--and it's a small one--is that the cards are printed on extremely lightweight stock and feel rather flimsy. It's a minor detail, though, and the cards are incredibly lovely.

The one thing I splurge on at Christmas is holiday cards. I was so excited when I saw these on line earlier in the year and immediately ordered them. I'm now glad I only purchased one box. While the image is breathtaking, the card quality is quite poor, including uneven folds, poor quality glue on envelopes, and even black streaking on the back of some of the cards.

I loved this Christmas card as soon as I saw it in your catalog and the messages inside were perfect. We were very happy to order this card this year [...]The card stock itself was disappointing ... it could have been a better quality, but it was acceptable.What I missed most on this card was the title of the painting and the name of the artist. This would have enhanced the value of the card as so many of our friends asked what artist did the painting and in what period of time. It caused many lively discussions which we don't regret but we believe the artist's name should have been included on the card along with the title of the painting itself.Our friends also wanted to know where we got our card. The Catholic Company might want to think of a way of stamping their name on their cards as well. This particular card was that unique that practically everyone commented about its beauty. This is the second year we purchased our Christmas cards from The Catholic Company but the artwork on this card brought about raves. That's how I felt when I first saw this image ... it is simply stunning. Bouguereau's talent speaks to us.
