Companions on the Journey - Sponsors and Spouses in the RCIA

The journey into the Church cannot be traveled alone. It makes no sense -- indeed, it would be a contradiction -- for someone to become part of the church without the help of someone in the community. Although the entire community stands ready to welcome a new member, there is a real need for personal guides. We refer to these companions as sponsors. Companions on the Journey is an invaluable guide for all who have accepted the call to sponsorship and for every RCIA program director.
