Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
This mug is lovely. We are giving them to our daughter's godparents at her baptism. The words look hand painted so they may appear slightly inconsistent, which is the only reason it gets a 4/5. Still very happy with them, and they are good sized for a nice big mug of coffee.
