Product Description

With only a large sheet of paper (or a dry-erase board, chalkboard, or overhead projector), a marker, and Draw and Tell Saints, you can easily share with your students — or your children or grandchildren — the fascinating and inspiring stories of the Church’s holy ones.

As you read a story about a saint (or a blessed), you draw a line, put in a squiggle, add a swirl. (The book tells you when!) By the end of the tale, your final picture shows a symbol of that person.

• No artistic talent is needed (Really!)
• This active-learning approach is ideal for children K-6
• The wording is easily adaptable to the age of your listeners.

Pros: Well Written; Easy To Understand; Great Pictures; Holds Kids Attention; Positive Message; Teaches Good Values;
Best Uses: In a group setting;
Describe Yourself: Everyday Reader;
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
This book and its similar Draw and Tell Sacraments book is great to use in a class setting. I'm catechist for the 8th grade Confirmation class in my parish (Catholic) and the kids are 13 - 14 yrs old. They very much liked this activity AND it was great for teaching some of the Saints.It is VERY simple to use and you don't have to be artistic to draw the pictures. There is a very simple story concerning one of the Saints and the reader/drawer reads the story and draws the simple picture at the same time. Within the story there are words which are in BOLD print and when you read those words you add another part of the drawing (also in BOLD print).As the story goes on the drawing begins to take shape and the kids can start to guess the Saint. Instead of just reading the story and doing the drawing myself I had the kids draw along too .... using various mediums ... charcoal is their favorite. Also they took turns being the story teller/ drawer. Each story/drawing takes about 10min. including the fun of it.

Great activity for November. Kids listen to story, or I just do drawing and they have to guess saint. Good fuller, or for fluff days before holiday.
