January 5 - St. John Neumann, priest. An immigrant from Germany, he built 50 churches and 100 schools. He is the first American man to be canonized.
January 11 - The Baptism of Our Lord. We commemorate the day that St. John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. |
