During her single years of life,
a woman can either find herself
or lose herself.
"Everyone longs for love,
and nearly every girl grows up imagining the ideal mate -
a true gentleman who stand out among today's modern men
like a knight among boys.
When he doesn't show up, her dream begins to fade.
Although the thirst for authentic love is ingrained in her heart,
she may begin to settle for less,
imposing her hopes on guys who fall far short of them "

At the age of 18, after breaking off another terrible relationship,
Crystalina felt broken, used, and confused.
The time spent with her ex-boyfriends
were full of abuse, infidelity, and drama.
She sat asking herself:
"Why do I deserve love, after all I've done?
There aren't any good men left, and even if there were,
why would they want me?
Can I really change? If I do change, will it last?
Is love even worth the risk?"
She knew things had to change.
She knew she needed to take a close look at herself,
her standards,
and why she had been settling for less
for so long.
This time, it's going to be different!

"Throughout this book, I want to share with you
not only the trials I faced before my lifestyle change
and the challenges that followed,
but also the rewards of choosing to hope
when you have every reason not to."
Now happily married,
Crystalina and her husband, Jason,
travel around the world
to share the inspiring and life-changing lessons
they learned along their own rocky road to find love.
Each year this dynamic couple
speaks to thousands of single, young people:
listening to their heart-wrenching stories,
and giving them the tools they need
to have successful, loving, God-centered relationships.
While this book discusses serious topics,
it is still easy-to-read, fun, and full of laughs.
The authors are clear that there is a right and a wrong
when it comes to making choices;
however, they share the truth
without preaching, condescending,
or being judgmental in their tone.
Throughout the book, Jason and Crystalina
include letters, emails, and stories
that young adults have sent to them
over the years.
The words paint a picture
of innocence lost, frustration, miscommunication,
and a real hunger for guidance on the issue
of relationships.
They want more than what movies, TV, pop music,
and magazines are giving them.
They want love that is REAL!

Jason and Crystalina have written this book
as a type of manual for single women.
It addresses issues faced by teens, those in college,
and women who have entered their professional careers.
While they recognize that each woman and relationship is unique,
there are common struggles we all share:
"Let's be honest:
countless teens struggle with adult problems,
and just as many adults wrestle with daily drama
that should have ended with high school. "
Inside are 21 chapters -
each one containing a "secret"
to help you attain a new vision of love,
to give you hope for the future,
to instill
confidence in you to walk down a new path,
and to give you concrete tools to help along the way.
Some of the greatest wisdom in this book
is found in excellent lists and examples
that make the lessons easy to remember.
Here are some examples:

"If you decide to follow the principles
of this book,
we can't promise that you'll meet
your soulmate next month.
We can't guarantee you'll receive
ten marriage proposals,
let alone one.
But we can guarantee that if you never
give these twenty-one secrets a try,
you'll always wonder
what could have happened if you did." |
