Now engravable, this traditional 1" Miraculous medal is made of sterling silver, with an 18” rhodium chain. Always a customer favorite, it is called "Miraculous" because of the many miracles associated with those who wear this medal. Surrounding Our Lady are the words “O Mary conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee.” Beneath her feet, the year 1830 is engraved on the globe – the year in which the Miraculous Medal design was given to St. Catherine Laboure. The back of the medal contains a smaller version of the traditional Miraculous medal insignia, with enough space to add personalization.
