Product Description

A Teaching Companion to Father McBride's Teen Catechism.

The primary goal of the Teen Catechism is to help young people acquire a living, conscious and active faith in Jesus Christ by the light of instruction. All these elements about faith are found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church: Creed, the faith professed: Sacraments, the faith celebrated; Morality, the faith lived; Prayer, the faith deepened. The textbook that accompanies this guide illumines the basic teachings of the Catechism for a teenage audience.

This Teacher's Guide has thirty-six lessons to match the thirty-six chapters found in the book. Each lesson contains:
1. Goal of the Lesson
2. Suggested Opening Hymn
3. Suggested Scripture Reading
4. Comments
5. The Result
6. What Should We Do?
7. One Resource

Best Uses: Reference;
Describe Yourself: Everyday Reader;
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
Would be nice if it were sold in a set with a Catechism to give a teen so that one could get this and a gift Catechism to go over with someone else such as a catuchumen or confirmante that they have sponsored.

Hard to follow 2.00 out of 5

Bottom Line:
I bought this product to teach my children age 12 and 14 about the Catholic religion. The book should include the scripture reading so you don't have to go back and forth and should supply answers to the questions they ask. I found it confusing and not useful at all for teaching my teens.
