This “babydoll” styled First Communion dress looks like a classic, with a flare for the 2000’s. The juxtaposition of soft netting over the satin dress with lace accents are unexpected, yet beautiful together! The wide built in waist band runs along the front of the dress. Made of a dainty floral embroidery lace, the top has scalloped edges creating an empire like bodice. Centered on the waist band is a satin strap approximately ½ inch wide that has a tacked down bow on the front. This design element is carried around the back with two straps, at the top of the skirt portion of the dress, sewn into the sides, intended to tie in the back into a bow. The dress has a simple back zip and is completely lined with a skirt slip that has approximately 12 inches of tulle between the slip and satin layers of the skirt to give the skirt a bit of fullness and flare.
