Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
The box looked like it did in the picture, seems more plastic than marble. The personalization allowed me to specify what message I wanted engraved on the box. The company had to phone me two days later to get the message - it was lost via internet order That made me nervous that the message would be misspelled. Mostly I was disappointed because the personalization was NOT engraved - it was hand painted in gold - which was pretty but not what I thought I was paying for.
