Genuine Connemara Marble Irish Rosary
Product Description
The green hills of Ireland are called to mind when you hold this beautiful Genuine Connemara Marble Rosary. Hand-crafted in Ireland, the unique cubed marble beads showcase Connemara Marble's various shades of green. Connemara means "of the sea" and comes from the Connemara Mountains in the most western parts of Ireland in County Galway. To complete the rosary is a Celtic crucifix. The rosary is constructed with an extra strong double link chain and measures 25" long.Few things reflect the beauty of creation more strongly than the deep and varied greens of Connemara Marble, found only in a small corner of Ireland's Atlantic seaboard. These Rosary Beads, handmade in Dublin from marble cut from a quarry in Co. Galway, are part of a long tradition in Irish Rosary beads.
The first Irish Rosaries were made by monks of the great settlements like Cashel, Clonmacnoise and Glendalough. Using the horns of animals, they fashioned beads of natural beauty and simple strength. Their strength in particular put them much in demand in medieval Europe, where the rosary was a widely observed meditation, and personal link with the Creator.
These beads continue that tradition, combining natural beauty with practical strength. Carry them with you, and tranquility will never be far away.

Very nice ... recommend without any reservation. We used it for a daughter-in-law for RCIA (joining the Church); however, would be nice for other reasons like Confirmation. |

This is a beautiful rosary, very large and seems durable. The only thing that kept it from being a five star item was the crucifix should be of a heavier metal, seems a bit chincy when compared to the rest of the rosary. The marble however is very uniquely shaped and very beautiful, I cannot wait to give it to my husband this Easter! |

My plan was to carry the rosary in my pocket. I like the look and feel of the marble beads. The rosary appears to be durable, a definite plus. Unfortunately, heavier and larger than I thought. A little disappointed in the make of the crucifix. |

A beautiful "industrial strength" rosary for ham-handed people like me. I wish that the center medal and the crucifix were more substantial to match the "heft" of the beads, but I am very pleased with it. Note: I doubt the TSA would allow you to bring it on the plane. |

I bought this rosary for a male friend & he could not have been happier. I find that purchasing rosaries for men is more complicated so this is a huge compliment. The beads are genuine marble & the celtic crucifix is done beautifully. Very happy w/ my purchase. |

I am a rosary maker and have made over 5,000 rosaries. I highly recommend this rosary for travelers. Very sturdy, good looking and will last you forever. I have had mine for over 20 years now and they still look great. Some wear on the metal. My wife is of irish ancestry and she is pleased to see me praying with this "Irish" rosary. |

I had a rosary like this one stolen from my car.. I thought I would never be able to replace it. I found this identical rosary on your website. I love the uniqueness of the beads and my Irish heritage brought me closer knowing these are stones quarried in Ireland.. Recommend this rosary!!!!! |

I love my beautiful Irish rosary. I keep it wrapped around a small, simple statue of Our Lady I bought in Assisi. Therefore, there is always a rosary handy downstairs. I love it's strength. I often break a rosary or the cross comes off and this beautiful Irish rosary is so strong and awesome that it will be safer in my hands. But, in spite of its strength, I find myself treating it ever more gently and as a result the other rosaries as well. What can I say? The Irish rosary inspires prayer and conquers sloth. The rosary is for praying and this rosary is loved as are all the others. |
