Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
I purchased this medal (and chain) to replace a very tarnished one that my husband had. The clasp on his old one kept breaking, so I opted to get a chain with no clasp. This medal and chain have held up very well to daily use so far, with NO tarnish at all and the chain is very sturdy. (My husband is a pilot and aircraft mechanic, so whatever he wears has to stand up to some abuse.) The only thing I would recommend to the manufacturer of this item is that they lengthen the chain by another inch or two. It fits easily over my head, but my husband has to be careful when putting it on, as it is difficult to get over his head (he has a very full head of hair!) Thank you for a well-made item that I hope will last for years to come! :)
