In this modern-day classic from the 1930's, Belloc analyzes five of the greatest heresies of all time: Arianism, Mohammedanism (Islam), Albigensianism, Protestantism and "the Modern Attack." He further explains how the world is different because Protestantism has survived, and predicts (accurately, we know) the re-emergence of Islam. Belloc also illustrates how the Modern Attack is the worst threat to the Catholic Church ever. This fascinating book will give you a keen understanding of history -- as we are living it today!

|Review:||Understanding those who would subvert the Church is important when standing in defense of the Church. Hilaire Belloc comes from an age when people prided themselves on their ability to write lucidly and to use careful research. The heresies and heretics discussed here are still impacting us more than 70 years later. The knowledge this book imparts is still urgently needed. Not a difficult read, but takes a bit of thought.
