Henri De Lubac was a French Jesuit Priest, and considered one the most influential theologians of the 20th century. After sustaining extensive wounds during the First World War, Henri De Lubac put down the sword to pick up the pen. Henri De Lubac’s works and doctrinal expertise held a major influence over the shaping of the Second Vatican Council. His contributions to Catholic literature were greatly admired by the late Pope John Paul II, so much so that the Pope elevated Henri De Lubac to Cardinal status.
