Every parish study group and every student of Sacred Scripture should own and use this Bible.” -—David Currie, Author, Born Fundamentalist, Born Again Catholic

A priest gave a bunch of us an assignment after a retreat, to read the Gospel of John. I had missed it in my parish's Catholic Scripture Study, and they use the NAB. The Ignatius Catholic Study Bible was perfect for my assignment. I read the Gospel leisurly, then with the notes, and finally answered the questions as I completed the chapters. The questions were challenging, thought provoking invitations to dig deeper, and really helped me to solidify what I was learning, especially the quetions for application. After participating in scripture study classes, it was nice to be able to do independent study with such helpful support and notes. The text reads beautifully. |
