Measuring 9 x 11 inches, this lovely Celtic House Blessing reads, "Wishing you Always: Walls for the Wind & A Roof For the Rain, Tea Beside the Fire, & The Love and Laughter of Those you Hold Dear." This framed artwork features the lost art of hand lettered illumination used by the ancient monks centuries ago. Celtic Artist, Kevin Dillon, has rediscovererd the same medieval techniques used by these monks. He crushes semi-precious stones - lapis lazuli, cinnabar, and azurite to make his own paints. And using a goose quill, the letters are meticulously applied by to the calf skin vellum. One at a time, the colors are applied, first blue, then the reds, then each remaining color. The final illumination is achieved using 24K gold leaf. The artist's seal is imprinted into molten wax on the bottom of each piece, making every print a unique piece of art to treasure forever.

|Review:||This piece is a warm, welcomed addition to our home. We appreciate the hand-crafted work. The back of the frame has hooks for hanging on the wall or use the pop-out easel back to display on a table/desk. Excellent value for a framed, hand-made piece.|
