The Irish wire-strung harp, or 'clairseach', dates back to the 12th century and was often highly decorated with intricate carvings and crystals. Harpers had a very important role in Irish life and were given titles and wealth for their services. Frame measures Height 19cm, Width 19cm. Imported from Ireland by Islandcraft.
