Each Ironfish pendant is skillfully hand welded from two genuine iron nails to create the popular Christian symbol of the fish. The fish symbol dates back to early Christians, when to avoid persecution, would secretly identify each other by drawing the fish in the sand. The first person would draw one arch and the other would complete the fish by drawing the second arc, thus the Christian fish symbol was created. This Ironfish pendant combines the symbolism of the fish with the symbolic nails of Christ’s crucifixion to create a truly unique piece of art. The Ironfish pendant comes strung on a 15” leather cord, to easily slip over your head, along with an insert card to further explain the meaning of the Ironfish.
