The Brown Scapular is perhaps the most well known and recognized of the scapulars. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel instituted the Brown Scapular on July 16, 1251. For this reason the Brown Scapular is most closely associated with the Carmelites. The 100% wool scapular is laminated to protect it from wear and tear, so that the wearer can enjoy it for years to come. The Brown scapular is a wonderful First Communion or Confirmation gift.

The scapular cord measures 15" in length.

I passed out the Brown Scapular to everyone at a Christmas dinner, along with a home made folded prayer card to stand on the nite stand or desk. It was a joy to me and comfort to the receivers. Most had had one as a child but didn't know where it was. So here was a brand new Brown Scapular and Prayer card. The prayer is great, the price is right, the joy of giving is a blessing.
