Crafted by artisans in the hills outside of Loreto, Italy, this simply gorgeous Miraculous Medal is entirely covered in a lovely aqua blue enamel. Blue is Mary's color, so the color and the medal make a great pair! The Miraculous Medal was designed by the Blessed Virgin herself, and given to Sr. (now Saint) Catherine Laboure to spread the devotion, with a promise of winning extraordinary graces for those who wear it and pray for Mary’s intercession and help. The front of the medal features Mary surrounded by the Latin inscription, Regina Sine Labe Originali Concepta O.P.N., which translates "Queen conceived without original sin, pray for us." On the reverse of the medal is the letter "M" for Mary at the feet of the cross of Christ and intertwined with it, surrounded by a crown of twelve stars, and with the Immaculate Heart and the Sacred Heart side by side. Special graces are granted to those who wear the Miraculous Medal as a necklace.
