I ordered two of these Miraculous Medals for my grand nieces (my Goddaughter's children) ~ ages 9, 7 ~ on the occasion of the younger one's First Holy Communion. They live out of state, so I have not given them to them yet, but I will as soon as I can. I'm sure they will love having them. I wear this Medal myself all the time; I love that I am following Our Lady's wishes, to receive the graces that She is so fond of granting. There are NO cons to this purchase! Everyone should wear the Miraculous Medal!

Love that the medal is actually made of metal (pewter) and has a nice weight to it - not a cheap light-weight plastic. My only disappointment was that the chain was actually only 18" not 24" as the catalog listed it.
