I ordered two of these Miraculous Medals for my grand nieces (my Goddaughter's children) ~ ages 9, 7 ~ on the occasion of the younger one's First Holy Communion. They live out of state, so I have not given them to them yet, but I will as soon as I can. I'm sure they will love having them. I wear this Medal myself all the time; I love that I am following Our Lady's wishes, to receive the graces that She is so fond of granting. There are NO cons to this purchase! Everyone should wear the Miraculous Medal!

Bottom Line:	Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Love that the medal is actually made of metal (pewter) and has a nice weight to it - not a cheap light-weight plastic. My only disappointment was that the chain was actually only 18" not 24" as the catalog listed it.

Bottom Line:	Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. I bought this for a young girl that is going through some tough times with a chronic kidney condition and am planning on giving it to her for her birthday coming up. Hopefully she likes it. I think it is nice. I like the card that accompanies it.
