The purpose of the Missionary rosary is to pray for peace in the world and the conversion of all men. The five colors (green, red, blue, yellow, and white) call to mind the five continents. Red is for the Americans, blue for the Pacific Islands, green for Africa, white for Europe, and yellow for Asia. This rosary allows prayers to be offered for the missionary work of the Church and our Holy Father. This is a simple wooden rope rosary that embraces the world in prayer. The Chi Rho symbol can be found on the reverse of the cross. World Mission Sunday is the third Sunday in October for the Catholic Church.
