Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
These coloring books are great! I use them to keep the kids (ages 6 and 2) entertained at Mass. Even though they're not paying attention at Mass or understanding very much of what is going on, they're minds are still on the Lord instead of spider man and barbie. Plus, it keeps them *mostly* sitting still.

This was my 5 yr old's favorite stocking stuffer. I think it's great that Santa can help teach kids more about Christ. This book holds my son's attention for an hour or so at a time and he searches these pictures multiple times a week. As he is searching, he frequently talks about the pictures which serves as a marvelous way to talk more about Christ... what could be better?!
