Mary's hands are folded in prayer and the front of the font is etched with the words "N.D. de Lourdes" (Notre Dame de Lourdes or Our Lady of Lourdes). The votive candle is surrounded by a rose. This piece is made of all white alabaster and measures 3.75" in height. Made in Italy.

This is a visually beautiful font. I placed it on my kitchen counter near the exit door to my garage and always keep it filled with holy water from my church. I bless myself several times a day and always when I go out.

A dear friend of my family's took very ill. Wanting to get her something to lift her spirits and let her know she was in our prayers, I saw this votive candle holder on-line. After opening the non-descript box, I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful Our Lady of Lourdes is in this piece of art, and the votive candle holder in the shape of a rose with mini-holy water font. Since I was giving it to my friend, who was in the hospital, I purchased a battery operated candle from Michael's and it was a treasure to my friend during her recovery. Another friend of mine had Lourdes holy water, which I did not realize when I purchased this, so it was a real "God" moment for my friend when she combined the two.
