This beautiful Pewter Celtic Cross has the famous claddagh symbol at the center. Surrounding the claddagh is a celtic design. In the claddagh, the heart represents love, the crown represents loyalty, and the hands represent friendship. From Mullingar Pewter in Westmeath County, Ireland, this cross measures 8"H. Made in Ireland.
The early history of pewter in Ireland goes back at least 800 years. It was revived in 1974 by Mullingar Pewter. Most of the pieces are still made in the traditional way in a workshop with Irish men and women specially trained in the old casting methods, meticulous assembly and delicate hand finishing.
