Prayer Ropes

Prayer Ropes find their origins in the Orthodox Church but are also a useful prayer device common in the Roman Catholic Church. Prayer Ropes vary in their number of knots and the common prayer for each knot is "Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner" which is said with the rhythm of breathing.
