Durable and everlasting laminated holy prayer card that contains a color depiction of Jesus suffering on the front, and the Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great on the back. Card measures 2 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 inch. Back of card reads: A Prayer which would release 1000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is said. Our Lord told St. Gertrude the GREAT that the following prayer would release 1000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners as well: "Eternal Father, I offer thee the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen." Made in Italy!

Bottom Line:	Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. My Catholic Church book club read a book about the Holy Souls and this prayer was included. We all loved it and it has become a part of my daily prayers. The prayer is supposed to release 1000 souls from purgatory each time it is said, through the intercession of Mary. It is short, easy to memorize and these cards are a great way to distribute the prayer to as many people as possible. The picture of the suffering Christ on the front is lovely. The cards are laminated in high quality plastic and everyone who has received one loves it.
