These selections highlight several of the unique aspects of the retreats preached by St. Josemaría: his emphasis on finding God in ordinary life, reflections on the hidden life of Christ, unity of life, human virtues, and others.

This brief work follows a similar program to the one St. Josemaría would have used on the many occasions he preached. The central theme was that of following Christ. He encouraged each person to have a personal and unrepeatable encounter with Him, following these distinct steps: “May you seek Christ: May you find Christ: May you love Christ. They are three perfectly clear stages. Have you tried, at least, to live the first?”
