This profound and remarkably readable book will introduce you to some of the "hidden" truths of the Eucharist - truths that have always been embraced by theoligians, saints and mystics, but have rarely been passed on to the average person in a meaningful way. In The Seven Secrets of the Eucharist, these truths are finally made accessible to all, as author Vinny Flynn shows how each reception of Holy Communion can be a life-changing experience.

"Here, then," says St. Alphonsus, "is our heaven on earth--the Most Blessed Sacrament." This book was conceived and written to help us grow in the knowledge and love of God and in appreciation for what He has done for us. For each of the 31 days of the month, St. Alphonsus provides for us a "Visit to Our Lord"--which is a brief meditation on and a fervent prayer of love toward Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Each Visit to Our Lord is followed by a "Visit to Our Lady." Impr. 106 pgs, PB

When it comes to sin, no one’s an innocent bystander. But do we really need to bring those sins to a priest in the sacrament of penance? Why? And what do priests think of the sacrament? Are they bored in the confessional? Distracted? Shocked by what they hear? As The Untapped Power of the Sacrament of Penance makes clear, priests cherish the sacrament of reconciliation as a powerful movement of God’s healing love. If you have abandoned the confessional out of fear or apathy or the conviction that you don’t have any “real” sins to confess—or if you are merely a once- or twice-a-year penitent—this book will put you back on track. There’s no time like the present to return to this remarkable source of God’s mercy and grace.

This revised and updated edition of Preparing Older Children for Baptism prepares non-baptized children of catechetical age, with the help of a parent, to become full members of the Church.

The first section explores the meaning of baptism in the context of salvation history. The second explains the symbols and the ritual of baptism following the three steps on the way to full sacramental initiation as described in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The third section looks at the Eucharist as the sacrament which nourishes the new life received in baptism.

While the content is primarily intended for non-baptized children, it could also be used to help boys and girls already baptized to complete their own Christian initiation through their first Communion.

Scott Hahn argues that every society - be it nation, neighborhood, family, or church - is held together by the power of personal commitments. The words we say bind us to a course of action. But the most powerful oaths of all are those that mark the Christian sacraments.

This wonderful and practical little book explains clearly and thoroughly how to make a good Confession but in much greater detail than covered in most catechisms. It includes an examination of conscience; contrition and its necessary qualities; the purpose of amendment and its necessary qualities; avoiding the near occasion of sin; the actual Confession of sins to the priest; and the penance given by the priest.

Everything Needed to Understand and Appreciate the Traditional Latin Mass. Extremely informative, but very easy to read! Catholics are waiting for this book! It explains what happens at the Latin Mass and why it happens, prayer by prayer. Why Latin, silence, bells, specific colors, etc.---and how we participate. Previewers are very enthusiastic! Ties in beautifully with Pope Benedict XVI's motu proprio opening the door to celebration of the Latin Mass.
