Song of the Angels by Bouguereau is a beautiful image which depicts Mary seated on a bench holding the infant Jesus with three angels looking on. Two of the angels are playing musical instruments. It has an ornate gold frame and measures 17x22". Adolphe-William Bouguereau was a famous portrait artist born in La Rochelle France on November 30,1825. He followed the classical style of 16th century painters such as Raphael. Bouguereau painted for a number of Catholic Churches throughout the latter 1800s. He died in 1905.
