St. Adrian of Nicomedia
Saint Adrian of Nicomedia was a guard to the Emperor Galerius Maximian, who converted to Christianity, supposedly, after an astounding testimony to the faith he wittnessed from a group of Christians whose torture he was presiding over. Adrian was imprisoned and eventually martyred at Nicomedia in the early 300's. Saint Adrian is the patron saint of soldiers and arms dealers. Saint Adrian of Nicomedia's feast day is celebrated on September 8th.
