The Gospel of James tells that Anne and her husband, Joachim, were childless late into their lives, though they both desperately wanted a child. In desperation, Joachim went into the desert to fast and pray for a child while Anne, at home, bewailed her fate. One day, in prayer, she looked up to see an angel descending to tell her that she would conceive a child who would become famous throughout the world. Soon thereafter, Anne became pregnant and later gave birth to Mary, the mother Jesus. Anne is the patron of grandmothers because she was the grandmother of Jesus of Nazareth.
Made of quality stone-like material. Makes a wonderful Mother's Day gift or simply place anywhere where peace is needed.

|Review:||This exquisite statue even exceeds the Fontanini quality in design, looks, delicacy of detail in the features. It was a Confirmation gift for my daughter-in-law who chose St. Anne as her patron saint. To say she was thrilled is an understatement. I'm delighted!!|

|Review:||I purchased this for my sister Anne. She will be very touched by the attention to detail and color as well as the wonderful facial expressions which are so hard to get right. Being the patron of grandmothers is perfect for her as well. The Joseph Studio is a no lose proposition. I have been blown away by everything I have purchased from their collection. They are the best at what they do. Their pieces are well worth the few extra dollars.|

|Review:||I just love this statuette! It is just so beautifully crafted and even more stunning in person. It looks beautiful sitting on my desk shelf and I love feeling like St. Anne is looking down and watching over me daily. Pros: Well crafted|
